
Carol Feeney Artist
Carol Feeney is an Irish artist living in village of Inverin, Connemara in the West of Ireland Carol Feeney is a graduate of Atlantic Technical College, Galway and holds a Bachelor of Art Degree in Fine Art and Design.
Much of Carol’s art is influenced by the heart of Galway and the landscape of the West of Ireland; inspired by hundreds of walks along the Atlantic edge, hours spent in quiet places watching the ever-changing skies and the ever-shifting tides.
Carol Feeney loves to paint people, especially loved ones. Her current practice is a series of paintings drawn from the day-to-day life of her year old granddaughter.
Her love of colour is evident in her art. She finds inspiration in her surroundings, her family, and memories of childhood. Her aim is to reflect mood and emotion. She paints mostly in oils and mixed media in an expressionist spontaneous manner using layers of thick and thin paint. She creates vibrant, colourful, atmospheric work. Her style is impressionistic and gestural.
Carol Feeney’s art is influenced by the works of Vincent Van Gogh and Johannes Vermeer, Pierre Bonnard, Joanne Eardley, Mary Cassatt, I Colin Davidson, Jack B Yeats ,Mick O’ Dea and Egon Schiele.
